When you feel that you are pregnant, it is necessary to do an early pregnancy scan. When you go to a clinic, you could get it done. This type of Pregnancy Scans are useful in order to know if you are pregnant and also if you are pregnant, to know if the fetus has heart beat and many other such details.

The sonographer may conduct one of the two types of scans or both. In the first one, it is your abdominal area that is being scanned. First, a lubricant is applied to facilitate the scan. Then the probe will be kept at different areas of the abdomen in order to conduct the scan.

The second type of scan is called the intra uterus scan. In this case, the probe will be inserted in the vagina in order to conduct the scan. This is a better scan to be conducted at early stages of the pregnancy.
